Privacy Policy

This is the website of Vernon Webb, a musician and photographer. This page explains, in plain words, what information the site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. I do not sell your information, and I do not run advertising.

What I collect, and why

• Mailing list. If you join, I keep your email address and, if you give it, your name. I use them to send news about music, shows and photos. You first get a confirmation email and are only added once you click the link in it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Contact form. I keep your name, email address and message, and the internet address (IP address) it was sent from. I use them to reply to you, and the IP address to stop spam.
• Accounts and orders. If you create an account or order a print, I keep what is needed to take the order: your name, email, delivery address, and what you ordered. This site does not collect credit card numbers.
• Server records. Like any website, the server may record your IP address, the pages you visit and your browser type for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies

The site uses a session cookie so you can stay signed in and keep items in your cart. It is not used for advertising or to follow you around the web. If you only read the public pages, no sign-in cookie is needed.

Other companies whose content appears on this site

Some parts of a page come from other companies, and they may collect information such as your IP address when their part loads, under their own privacy policies:

• YouTube (videos load only after you click play).
• SoundCloud (song players).
• Bandsintown (upcoming show dates).
• jsDelivr and Google Fonts (files that make the pages look right).
• My web host, which stores the site and may speed up page loading.

Links to Spotify, Instagram, Facebook and similar sites take you away from this site, and their rules apply there.

Who sees your information

Only me, and the companies that run the pieces above (my web host and email delivery). I do not sell, rent or trade your information. I will share it only if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe, and the unsubscribe is remembered so you are not added again by mistake. Contact messages are kept for as long as they are useful, then deleted. Order records are kept as long as needed for taxes and customer service.

Your choices

• Leave the mailing list at any time with the link in any email.
• Ask me what I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it by writing to vernonwebbmusic@gmail.com or using the contact page. I will answer within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
